Core clearing knowledge

Using the example of Eurex Clearing AG, participants will gain deep insight into the tasks and functions of a clearing house. They will get to know the requirements for a clearing licence and the different segregation models. Furthermore, the tasks of the clearing house in risk management will be discussed and participants will become familiar with the various margining models. Participants will also be given an overview on collateralisation and collateral release, and they will learn about the actions taken if a clearing member defaults.
